Do you ever feel like you are in the same place that have been for a long time and really want to make a change? What is it that keeps us in this same place that we are unsatisfied to be? What will it take to make any kind of change?
Welcome, you are in what is called a comfort zone. It is comfortable, like an old pair of jeans. In your comfort zone you can complain about the unfairness of the situation that you are in, you can feel bad, maybe even feel as if the world has dealt you an unfair hand. Doing something that can change this can be at times scarey. What will it mean if I make a change?
Moving forward can be very simple – one step at a time. Try asking yourself these questions:
What area in your life would you like to make a change in? For example, you would like to have time for yourself every day.
What can I do today to make one small change. An example might set aside five minutes today to be with yourself. Five minutes. You could wake up five minutes earlier, or go to sleep five minutes later. You could decide that each day when you take your lunch break that five minutes will be just for you.
Stick with this change. Make it an integral part of your day. Plan what you will do during the five minutes for yourself this week.
And remember to take a few moments every day….
